Please Help! I'm 18 years old and I seem to have symptoms of Nonbacterial Prostatitis. I've had 4 or 5 Urine tests, blood test, and Kidney Ultrasound and everything came back negative. My symptoms are: -Pain or burning with urination -Pain with ejaculation (sometimes, rarerly) -Urethra pain -Penis pain after ejaculation -Difficulty or straining to urinate -Frequent or urgent need to urinate -Hesitancy starting flow -Feeling like I'm not fully emptying bladder -Erectile Dysfunction Is Erectile Dysfunction a symptom of Prostatitis? Im not having pelvic or other pains so i'm not sure on the likely hood of Prostatitis. I'm on VESIcare prescribed by Urologist and have a follow up in 6 weeks but I'm gonna make an appointment for next week. |
Re: Please Help! When everything started with my prostatitis the first thing I got done was a ultrasound and testings for STD's, aids, etc. Is there any chance of you having these, or should I say, have you had sex in the past year or 2? |
Re: Please Help! Also, so you know where I am coming from also, check out my post that I created a couple days ago! Im 19 with same problem as you, except Im having different symptoms. |

My symptoms started before I met her. I'm struggling to find answers. |
Re: Please Help! From everything I have read and came across and have been told, it sounds like you have prostatitis. Right now I'm starting my third day out of 30 taking both ciprofloxacin and flomax. I am not yet feeling any better, but the doctor told me it could take up to 30 days for the antibiotics to actually start to kick in. What a lot of people have been telling me is that, unlike a common cold that can be fixed in a couple days, the prostate is a very confusing and difficult thing. The medications that could take 3 days to cure a cold could take 30 days to even start healing the prostate. I would ask your urologist if you could take a 30 day cycle of both cipro and flomax. He should have no problem with that request. Plus take a warm 10-15 minute bath twice daily, it could help with any swelling going on with your prostate. Hang in there.. I'm your age and going through the same **** and it honestly sucks for us to be going through this at such a young age. But atleast you know there are people your age going through this same thing. |
Re: Please Help! I'm glad you are on your way to hopefully recovery. If I indeed have prostatitis it would suck. I would not wish this on my worst enemy yet a lone an 18 or 19 year old it's terrible. I read your thread just haven't had time to reply. Is Prostatitis possible without all the pain? I really only have pain when I'm urinating and occasionally when I'm masturbaiting. I do have a question for you. Do you get morning wood? I seem to not get it and its kinda freaking me out. |
Re: Please Help! i get morning wood and i get random ones as well, more frequent than usual. A lot of men just dont even get morning wood, its really nothing to worry about. But yes, you can have prostatitis without ANY pain or symptoms at all. |

Porn ehhh sometimes but when I'm with my gf it always seems to be a go so I guess that's all the matters. The infection would not show in a urine test would it? I have had urination problems for as long as I can remember. I know you're not a doctor but could you get Prostatitis at a young age and have it for years like Chronic Nonbacterial Prostatitis? |
