Re: ANA Psoriasis
Even though psoriasis may be autoimmune, ANA is not relevant to it, is my understanding. I think psoriasis is only Dx'ed with skin tests, not bloodwork.
Of course, ANA is relevant in a handful of autoimmunes (like scleroderma, lupus, RA). But there are numerous other well-known autoimmunes to which ANA does not relate, Type 1 diabetes being a good example.
As for psoriasis co-existing with lupus, I don't know if the odds are greater of getting it if you already have (or are headed to) lupus. Can someone else comment on this?
