Question IBD and Psoriasis?

I've finally come to the realization that my nasty skin/scalp rashes are psoriasis -- does anyone else here with IBD (Crohn's or UC) have it? Do you notice an increase in the skin symptoms when your IBD is flaring? (And do you have any tips in dealing with it?)

Re: IBD and Psoriasis?

Daisyk, I have IBD and also have a lot of skin problems. I have scalp problems too. The rash gets bad at times around the hairline like psoriasis. I use Nizoral shampoo and a cortisone cream for the bad spots. I also get spots on other parts of my body, starting out as tiny white blister, and increases in size eventually looking almost purple then brown. These spots were diagnosed as lichen planus. I use clobetasol ointment for these spots. They occur on my hands, wrists and arms, legs and feet. Stress will aggravate skin conditions as well as IBD. It is not unusual to have more than one immunity disorders.
