Psoriasis problem here - what medication is better!

It is pretty mild but looks like a nasty little fungus near scalp and near shoulder. I went to an internist that prescribed me some Tazorac. who knows if it will work. But I am just curious about any other ideas that will help it to disappear.

I have patches on my elbows, tops of my ears , near my shoulder and a few spots on my legs and thighs. The dermatologist gave me Triamcinolone Acetonide Creme USP 0.1%. It does pretty well, but the best thing for me is sun during the summer.

Re: Psoriasis problem here - what medication is better!

Hi! I've suffered from Psoriasis since childhood, and had been given a multitude of different potions. I suffered a great deal at school because of the 'Map of the World' on my legs

It was only when I started using Zinc and Castor oil cream that it totally cleared. I still have a little on my elbow and in my scalp, but that doesn't worry me.

Try using a medicated talcum powder. I use that too and it helps a lot.

Re: Psoriasis problem here - what medication is better!

I checked with the other medications the doctor prescribed me and they are topical steriod creams that i do not feel comfortable using. I read the dangers of the medications and it said that they can cause all sorts of problems, including permanent problems that I don't feel like risking over such a small yet unattractive condition.

But the more suggestions the better!!
