Eczema vs psoriasis

My Dr tells me I have Eczema. I've had a flareup of this since early May, and has not cleared up at all, only eased up a bit with Flax oil.

I have it on my elbows(outer), the right one is worse than the left, and one of my thumbs had cracked skin early on, now it just peels.

I would have thought that the steroid cream that he gave me in August would have healed this, but it hasn't. It's isolated to these areas, nowhere else.

My own research isn't helping me out, so I thought I'd post this here.

Re: Eczema vs psoriasis

Unfortunately, neither one of these conditions has a cure or quick fix. I have had psoriasis for 14 years, and it is something that you learn to treat and deal with as best you can. Consider yourself lucky if you are only afflicted in those small areas. I have found that diet and vitamins help my skin as much as steroids which have side effects. Also remember that stress will trigger flare ups in these skin conditions, so reducing stress is a big factor in treatment. Good luck!
