Psoriasis can become red for several different reasons. Mine usually flares up when I'm really stressed out, or overheated.
I just posted this in another thread and thought I'd copy it here for you -
This is going to sound funny, but rub a banana peel on your trouble patches. I read online somewhere that banana peels contain a number of antioxidants and minerals that can help the skin restore itself naturally. I've been rubbing a peel on my arms for the past 3 days (2 times a day) and there is already a huge improvement - my patches are half as red as they were before and there is a lot less build up of scales. It sounds crazy, but so far it is working very well for me. Try it!
