Psoriatic Arthritis

Hi, My son, aged twenty six has just been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, he is in terrible pain all the time, back, ankle, fingers, toes. So far he hasn't had any meds for this, apart from pain killers which make him sick.
He still continues to work, which he wants to do, as he says this keeps him going. His uncle has the same condition and has been very ill over the years with it, sometimes unable to walk.
As you can imagine this has made him very depressed he feels his life is in a downward spiral, I am so upset, he is a wonderful, hardworking son, with his own house and a young family. Please can anyone tell me some good news about this condition, I try to cheer him up, but he is very unhappy.
