My doc says he can prescribe 2 creams for my Psoriasis, together they total $300, I think they are steroids. Is it better for me to let my doctor handle my condition or is this a job better suited for a Dermatologist?

Be very careful of steroids. Trust me on this one. And don't EVER use them on your face...EVER. Years ago I had my doc prescribe my meds for psoriasis, but it turned out that he gave me stuff (steroids) that were only supposed to be used for short-term and shouldn't have been used on my face at all. The Derm told me I was lucky to have a face left when he found out what the doc prescribed and I was using.

Also, derms are really up on the new treatments, since it's what they specialize in.

thats not true i use a steroid cream on my face and im still good
