My husband has had plaque psoriasis for as long as I have known him, We moved to France 7 years ago and went to see a specialist that gave him some tablets that he took every otherday and on looking them up on the computer are for people with bad arthritis and are very strong, they made him sticky all over and had to have regular blood tests so must have been really strong things, but cant remember the name, he had to combine this with light treatmen, this was after trying loads of other things and light treatment on its own. Now this combination works and within a few months all his skin was back to normal, I will just say that his psoriasis is everywhere and I mean everywhere if you know what I mean and lots and lots of it. but this worked, but since stopping it things have got even worse and more of it if that is possible, the only place he does not have it is on the plam of his hands and the soles of his feet, and in his eyes. Can anyone suggest anything that might help, he has tried chinese remedies of boiling these things that looked like bits of dead wood and cost a fortune but didnt work.
Anyone any suggestions please, I am sick of cleaning up after him as it looks like a snow storm in out house.
Sorry to hear about hubby's problem. i personally don't have the problem but once someone mentioned shea butter. you could try it since its a natural oil. it does have a funny smell. may be he could try on a body part like arms and see if it helps.

Hi there, I don't know if you are still reading this thread but I will post in the expectation that you might check. My husband had terrible psorisis. At one point his hands were bleeding pus and blood. It was spread in his stomach, hands, head, legs too. It was hard to imagine he will ever have his hands able to become normal again. He couldn't even hold a glass of water. There basically was no skin left...it was that bad on his palms. Specialists checked and gave creams and anti-allergens. But these didn't work. We didn't go further in the pharmaceutical route but instead, switched to Ayurveda. About 3 weeks later his hands became normal again and the condition healed completely after taking treatment for about 10 months continuously. This was prolonged treatment to get it out of his system fully. At the end of the treatment the practitioner said he will get a flare again in 2 years time. It took about 3 years but just as it was said, he did get a flare but this time it was only about 30% last time. He is alright again now and looks like it has left his system once and for all. Bit of drandruffy stuff is left on the head but he is taking some ayurvedic treatment for that.
Ayurvedic treatment if done correctly is without side effects. That's the best part. You need someone who knows how to treat the condition. It takes some but results are there and solid. I hope you find this useful.....it might not be a bad idea to explore Ayurvedic treatment. There's lots of info on the net and you might be able to find a reliable practitioner if researched. There are ones that seem to be in India. My husband took his treatment in Sri Lanka. All the best to you and your hubby.
