I do not perspire - become very ill when hot

For as long as I can remember, I cannot tolerate the heat, or physical activity unless I am in a cool/cold enviornment.

It finally dawned on me - I don't perspire, therefore my body doesn't cool itself off.

The only part of my body that sweats is my feet.

I turn bright red in the face as I overheat, and become dizzy, headache, nausea, and will eventually vomit and/or faint.

Anyone ever heard of this ? Thanks for any insight.

Re: I do not perspire - become very ill when hot

I know a person with exactly the same problem.

Since sweating plays a major role in cooling your body, you are simply overheating. The gal I know has found no cure. She simply is aware of the problem and acts accordingly. Works around a lot of air movement. Avoids being out in the sun or when it is very hot out.

It seems to be a pain but she gets by.
