My son was diagnosed with Henoch Sconlein Purpura last year, and has fully recovered without any more incidents. If yours is the same thing, then I'm afraid there isn't anything to stop the rash/bruising, but if you have inflammation in the joints etc then an anti inflamatory drug like ibuprofen is very good to ease the pain. Hope this is of some help. There are also lots of good sites/information if you look under the full name.
