neuro cardo genic syncope

Our son who is 23 and very athletic and healthy passed out about two months ago while observing in a hospital where he was getting volountary hours in for graduate school. A tilt table test showed that he needed a pacemaker.....his heart rate is around 40 beats / minute and we just thought it was because he is in such good shape. He is also on a beta blocker and fluronef for sodium retention. We need to know what the Washington State law is for driving now.....it has been a month now since his pacer was implanted and he has not had another episode of syncope.

Re: neuro cardo genic syncope

You'll have to check with doctors in that state; for seizures/epilepsy, the state requires you to be seizure-free for six months, but it may different for syncope.
