Sharp, brief pains along veins
Hi. I have been having very sharp, brief (2-10 sec) knife-like pains that seem to overly my venous circulation (on the calf, thigh, buttocks, arms, hand and temple) as well as in the right upper and lower quadrants of my abdomen over the past 6 months. The pain is an 8/10, is very localized to one small area (few cms) at a time and does not radiate. They occur off/on about 20-30 times a day. Nothing seems to bring it on or relieve it. I have no other associated symptoms. My sister describes similar sx and she has a pea-sized nodule lodged in a superficial vein of her calf for which she takes ASA. Please help. My doctor tells me it is too non-specific, but it is starting to scare me. Thank you.
