spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita

hi all
this is my 1st post so any help will be greatfully recieved

my husband has spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita and is currently having constant pain in his left hip/thigh area....his orthopedic specialist says he is too young (34) for a hip replacement and is basically washing his hands on the subject..... does any body know of any specialist in the uk who knows about the condition and will be able to help my husband ?
