| Amyloidosis complications heartbreak
My 48-yr old bro in law is on life support, this disease ravaged his body, the nerves and digestive system, but his mind and heart stayed full of life and happiness until he collapsed a couple days ago. We are faced with the dreaded decision to take him off the respirator. Our family is shattered, he blood tests just showed he was almost clear of the amyloid protiens and we were so happy. We don't know how or why he got this awful disease, but any support you members know of would help.
