my pseudo tumor was treated very quickly. Usually a shunt is used to relieve the pressure but i was lucky and meds worked. Just thank god pseudo tumor means not a tumor but acting like one... I had lost the feeling on my right side , arm up into neck and face, ringing in ears and loss of vision in right eye , then with excruciating head pain which was caused by the swelling around the brain... A spinal tap helped diagnose me. My neuro said usually only once in a lifetime thing that happens to mostly women... That was many years ago and have not had a migraine since.....

I am glad that yours is under control...My "fake" tumors come and go at their own will...In fact, I just got rid of one...The only thing that helps with mine is high dosage steroids. (UGH) They did radiation in 1997, but I still get them...This totally baffled the Dr's because once radiated the psuedotumors shouldn't come back...

Take Care!

Re: Orbital Inflammatory Pseudo Tumor Disease

I have been having a problem with my eye for 3 weeks. Today I was diagnosed with a orbital pseudo tumor and placed on high doses of steriods. I'm interested in how long people have to remain on steriods?

Re: Orbital Inflammatory Pseudo Tumor Disease

Hi, My daughter has been diagnosed with a pseudo tumor. She has had 3 spianl taps to relieve the pressure and her pressure is seeming to get higher each time. What is going on with you?
