i think i may have some sort of kidney failure because i shower, wear deoderant, and perfume but i still smell funny.any sugestions out there??

hun, i'm not trying to be nasty, but why do you think body odor is a sign of kidney failure?? you may wear deoderant, but you may be sweating anyways, as alot of people (including myself) have overactive sweat glands...also, make sure you are wearing deoderant with ANTIPERSPIRANT, as that will actually CLOT sweat pores...hope this helps

I don't believe that you have a kidney condition. I believe you have the same thing I have which is a medical condition called Trimethylaminuria (TMAU) It is also known as Fish Malodor Syndrome.

I am not a doctor but I have lived with the same issues you mention plus some for 22 years.

If you do indeed have TMAU you are not crazy and you are not alone. What it means is that our bodies can't process a substance called choline found in alot of foods. THis causes gasses in our stomachs and intestines to buildup and consequently horrible odors emminate from either particular parts of our body or our whole bodies in general.
