 new dx neurocardiogenic syncope

I have seen many posts on this subject so I know we are not alone. My 12 yo daughter was just dx with this last week. She had a tile table test and fainted before 6 minutes. What makes it so weird to me is they didnt use any medication to bring the fainting on. Her heart rate went from 113 to 50 in about 3 seconds. She also was just dx with hyperthyroid. Does anyone know if there is a correlation between the 2? I was dx with SVT and ST about 10 years ago but I am begining to wonder if it is actually the same as my daughter. I am not sure if it is genetic because I am just finding out about it. They had started my daughter on Atenolol (which is what I was on) she takes it every night after supper. She can not handle the heat at all. I am also concerned about her playing sports. If anyone has anything that may help us please feel free to reply. Thanks Melissa
