Hypermobility/ Ehlers - Danlos syndrome? - Rare Disorders Message Board

Hi does anyone here have hypermobility or ehlers - danlos syndrome? I think I might have eds type 111 and would love to speak to someone else about this.

Hi,
My son was checked for Ehler-Danlos a few months ago. They say he may have a mild form of it but right now they call his benign familial hypermobility. He is 6 so I dont think they can get a clear Dx if he has a mild form. He is extremely flexible, for example, he bends his legs and then turns them forward. He has been begining to have some pain so we are going to go back to his doctor.

I have suffered from severe ehlers danlos grade 3 since I was 12 I am now 19. It has hindered my life alot, I have just found out that I am 13 weeks pregnant, my husband and I are very worried about the implications ehlers danlos has on my pregnancy. What symptons do you have? My hips and shoulders recurrently dislocate, and on a nighttime my jaw dislocates so tht I find it hard to talk. Every1 of my joints has dislocated at some time. What help are you recieveing?
