Mysterious red and sores on face - Rare Disorders Message Board

My daughter gets red spots around the eyes, cheeks, and around her mouth. After a couple days, one area will turn really dark and crusty. It will seep fluid. No one seems to know what this could be. It is about impossible to get rid of. Anyone ever heard of this problem? She also had a time where she turned red right in the middle of her forehead. In a day or two it was crusty and scabbed over. We went to many doctors to figure this out. She also usually has a fever with this. I would appreciate any help you could give me.

It could be a form of shingles. Shingles is painful
to touch and my actually blind a person.
You can feel small bumps under the skin. I believe
it is contagious also. There's a med they give for it but it does not cure it, it just makes it go away sooner.
