Weird popped out Ribcage - Rare Disorders Message Board

Hi,since 2 years now ive been wondering why my ribcage is looknig so weird.Im a boy and between my 2 chest brest the chest goes in and my rib cage sorta pops out like something round.So i dont relaly have a nice chest.Could anyone help me and tell me if it will go away as i grow older or if i have to work out my chest ... anything please..

hey.. i think that if what your talking about is what i've seen, its very normal. I dont have it but im 16 and a few of my guy friends have the same thing. Its almost like their chest is caving in. dont worry about it... one of my friends went to the doctor for it and the doctor told him that it will go away when he grows. I hope this answers your question!!

yeah, my buddy has that too. i noticed it back when we were prolly 15. we're in our early 20's now and its pretty much gone away.

I'm not sure, but you might be describing Pectus excavatus. I've had it since birth. It makes your ribcage sink in the middle.

Run a search on Yahoo or Google and you will come up with good information.
