Thumbs down Periodic Fever Syndrome - Post-Tonsillectomy

I have been reading everyone's posts on here about PFAPA, and everything sounds just like my daughter. She just turned 9, and has been struggling with fevers since she was five. This is the first year where there has been a predictable pattern. For the last 4 years it has always seemed like she was sick way more often than other kids, but it seemed to be worst in the Spring, so we always assumed it was allergies. This year she has been sick 12 times. Approximately every three weeks she gets a super high fever, with sore throat, headache, nausea, lack of appetite, chills, body aches. We went to see an allergy/immunology doctor who diagnosed her with Periodic Fever syndrome (she has had other bloodwork done, etc., to rule out other problems). We then went to the ENT, and had her tonsils taken out three weeks ago, hoping that would be the magic cure. Well, today (20 days post-tonsillectomy) she is fevering again . I feel so discouraged! So far the fever is staying pretty low, about 99.2 to 99.7, but she seems lethargic, says she has a headache, tummy ache, etc. And, she's pointing to a further back spot in her neck, saying it hurts. Much higher and further back than the normal sore throats.

Has anyone else experienced this post-tonsillectomy? Any guidance on what to do next? I have a call into the doc, but haven't heard back yet.
