surgery and removal of phrenic nerve

hi everyone

i had surgery 4 weeks ago to remove my thymus and a mass that was attached to it .i have a illness called Myasthenia Gravis . the surgeon has told me early this week that he also had to remove my left Phrenic nerve and thats why i am having so many breathing problems . does anyone know if i will all ways have breathing problems and am i right in thinking that my left lung will not work now ,
thanks for any advice anyone i give me re this
