Hi,
I hope you can shed some light on this, my sons hand and feet and sometimes arms and legs turn purple when he is cold. Could this be Raynauds? I have been tracking his body temperature, and it always registers cold, below normal. I need some help on this, do you have any of these symptoms? Do you think a rheumatologist would be the right type of doctor? Doesn't Raynauds only affect the fingers and toes? Help!

you may want to contact a doctor... With raynauds mine is only affecting my fingers and toes...they turn white then blue when the blood is deprived there then they turn red... just watch for color changes and notify your doctor..

I have suffered from Raynauds for a number of years. I am a 40 year old female. My syptoms are that the tips of my fingers go completely white and then, as the blood returns red and purple. Raynauds is where the blood is completely cut off from the fingers or toes hence the white, or at least that is my understanding. A rheumatologist would be a start, at least he would point you in the right direction.

I have raynauds but it just affects my fingers and toes, but I have heard of people haveing the nose and ears affected too. I would go to a rheumatologist. Good Luck

I think I have renauds as well, my hands are always cold and reddish and sometimes purplish when cold. My feet are only red sometimes.
