Need some help.. muscle weakness .. twitching .. raynaud's - Raynaud's Syndrome Message Board

Hi,
I've been facing strange symptoms and needed to know if there was someone else there who could help.
I have muscle weakness in my arms and feel muscle twitching in my arms and legs (very slight and more on my left side)
Strangely I don't notice it when I am busy and about but When I am just at work.. sitting and just on the computer I notice it much more.
My elbows hurt and sometimes it seems the nerve at the elbow is kinda out of control and kind of jumping around.. (sorry for lack of a better way of describing)
I've had no MS show up in MRIs and a lumbar puncture.
Blood drawn shows normal muscle enzymes.. (whatver that means)
Sometimes I feel unsteady over all)

I started Magnesium Citrate supplements recently since I read about magnesium deficieny and muscle twitching)

I developed Raynauds in 2 fingers of my right hand some months ago.. (don't know if it is related)
An EMG shows mild carpal tunnel syndrome.
If there's anyone out there who has something that might help.. I would be grateful.

I have muscle twitching too, for months now. I am going to a neurologist in early May to hopefully find some answers. I hope you are finding answers too. I don't know what it is at all. If I am lucky its just nerves or benign muscle fascilations. But I pray it isn't something worse. I hate it and it drives me crazy. Let me know how you are doing! Hang in there!

hi, so if you have a positve carpel tunnel, did they reccommend surgery, or is that what made your raynauds appear?? I have similar symptoms. Now really bad case of raynauds in both hands, it is a constant nusisance, and sometimes shooting electrical type twinges that drive you nuts. Any similaraties? Being treated now for scleroderma, but tests are negative, I wonder if its just a horrible case or raynauds and carpel tunnel.

It sounds like the same symptoms I started with. I needed a muscle biopsy to deteremine what disease I have. I have been diagnosed with mitochondrial metabolic myopathy and I already have SLE with severe Raynaud's ( in my hands and feet).
