I was tested for Raynaud's a couple months ago and the doctor said it was negative. I think i may have it though. My skin has been turning a purplish pinkish color for the past year and a half or so. I dont experience any pain though, just the color change. What should I do, because this is really bothering me now.
My Mom's hands are purple/red a lot of the time.
One of the Dr's mom has seen told her what it was.
But, she doesn't remember what he called it. I
don't think it was raynalds. You don't say hands
but I am assuming that is what you are talking about.
Do they react to cold temps? That is one sign of raynalds. The Dr. didn't give Mom anything for it so,
I guess there wasn't any thing to do for it?
Hope you have better luck.
Regarding Raynauds, which I've had since I was in my late teens, it is a constriction of the blood vessels and usually occurs in cold weather. I have never heard of it occurring on the hands but usually on the fingertips and toes, which turn white. It is often associated with Lupus and other autoimmune disorders.
