cardiac problems, originally thought coronary vasospasm

I am 24, 2 years ago was a professional athlete (kickboxer) and used anabolic steroids for a short few months, as well as thermogenics (ephedrine) as well as high doses of caffeine (yeah i know was stupid) whilst i was training 6 hours per day full time for fights.
i soon was admitted to hospital after collapsing at home from chest pain and heart attack symptoms with an ischemic reading on the ECG/EKG whatever its called. was given bood thinners in the emergency room and injection in the belly, and soon had an angiogram (few days later) which ruled out heart attack so they assumed a coronary vasospasm was to blame due to high blood pressure. but i then spent 4 weeks in hospital while they tried to figure out why the chest pain and other symptoms would not go away.

was released from hospital when they couldnt figure out what was wrong and was simply passed from doctor to doctor and had the feeling they just wanted to get rid of me and fog me off onto someone else and get me out of their hands.

saw 5 different GP's local physicians and was referred back to cardiology specialists a few times but they kept sending me away saying my problems are not cardiac as since the original event in the emergency room, all tests came back normal despite possible slight inflamation of the heart after original event shown on heart scans.

I had many scans, CT scans, MRI machines, some dye was injected while i was in them. ultrasounds etc. cardiologists sent me away saying they cant find anything life threatening and so they cant figure out what is wrong with me.

heres my symptoms.
chronic chest pain left side, but mainly tightness, tingling, pins and needles, vice gripping feelings in the following areas on left side of body - chest, armpit, abdomen just below left carotid artery in neck, chest, tricep, down left side of torso and occassionaly down left leg. all on left side of body
blood pressure keeps coming back as normal now, but was very high for the weeks following original ischemic event.

i constantly suffer from spasm feeling in these areas.
my carotid artery spasms often on the left side of my neck and i can see it patruding and going into spasm in the mirror and when it does i get the feeling someone is clamping down on a tube in my neck and i cant breath. same/simular feelings all the way down the left side of my body. spasms, tightness, pain, pins and needles down left arm and leg often.
these pains, are felt pulsating with my heart beat and get worse from emotional stress AND physical exercise. if i get very stressed about something which is not often, ive felt these symptoms immediatley worsen and also the same when i have tried to exercise again. when they get severe they worsen and turn into muscle spasms also, cramping my muscles.

the fact that i can see my carotid artery going into spasm on the site i get pain there, makes me certain and know that this is cardiovascular. the doctors just seem to want to get rid of me
ive been back to my general physician and the cardiac specialists with these symptoms many times and they dont seem to want to help, dont know what to do, and are not helpful at all. im not sure what to do as am in pain every day.

i was given calcium channel blockers and beta blockers for over but these didnt work or have any effect. i was given medication to relieve stress but i am really NOT a stressed person, i have an incredibly easy life now and have nothing to be upset, down or stressed about other than these symptoms. the doctors were convinced it was stress but after drugging me up with diazepam and then zopiclone to help me sleep and relax among many other drugs are now convinced its not stress but not sure what to do next.

i really am lost and in pain, and uncomfortable every day.
i was one of the best fighters in my nation and now reduced to the point where i cannot exercise without getting pains and vice like cramps in my neck, chest, down the left side of my body etc.

i really am convinced that these symptoms are being caused at least somewhat by artery vasospasms, as i can feel it happening in my carotid artery when my blood pressure goes up from exercise or stress and can see it happening in the mirror and get simular vice like pain down left side of my body. pins and needles, spasms, cramping vice like feeling all the way down left side of body from behind the ear, down neck all the way down to legs.

i have been to see physios as suggested my doctors, but they cannot find anything physically wrong with me at all. neurologists also say im fine.
only thing i can think of is the cardiologists dont see this as life threatening and just want to get rid of me.

any advice would be so appreciated and possible causes as im feeling so lost

Re: cardiac problems, originally thought coronary vasospasm

I can't offer you much in the way of advice with coronary vasospasm as i have the kind of raynaud's associated with scleroderma, but i can say that sometimes it takes a while to get to the bottom of any health issue. Believe me, i know how frustrating it can be as i, too, was told that my health issues were all in my head. Turns out i really do have a disease which is just rather rare and while it can't be cured some of the symptoms certainly can be controlled and i feel so much better! Take things logically and step by step with your doctors. Ask questions and have them explain the answers if you don't understand. Good luck and keep us updated once in a while.
