I have read that if you have rsd a lumbar block should work. I only had one back in January. It did not work for me according to the pain managment doctor. I don't remember much of that day, accept get ready to laugh... my husband took me out for breakfast at Blueberry Hill after the shot. I am so loopy still from being knocked out. We order eggs and bacon. He says he looked across the table and I am licking the jelly off of a whole piece of toast. not just little licks, but running my tongue all over the slice of toast
and if that wasn't embarrassing enough. I went to take a bite of bacon and one of my top front teeth fell out of my mouth. hahahah I have upper dentures and I guess before being knocked out I should have takend them out. I either knocked them against each other or ground them when I was out like a light to make a tooth fall out of the denture. Imagine that visual.... All I could do was laugh because otherwise I would cry.
Then after turning my upper plate into the dentise to fix, my husband had to help me up the stairs to go to bed. I was still loopy. my bed was too tall so he took some spare wood flooring panels he had and made me a staircase to get into bed. I still couldnt because my hips hurt to bad. So he lifted my legs into the bed for me. I got me a good one....
My point to this is a lumbar block always supposed to work? Because my first one did not and my pain management doctor said there was no use doing another one. Just curious if I should have pushed for another one.... Thanks
