Frustration!

Well finally saw the PM Dr. today and I have to say I just had the worst visit of my life, I am still in tears. The Dr. did confirm that I have RSD, the Dr. was very rude.

Can anyone recommend a Dr. in Northern California area...way North like Redding area...I would be willing to go to Sacramento if needed. Can you change PM Dr.'s when you have W/C?

J

Re: Frustration!

hmmm I am on comp. and I advise that first off get an attorney. they will handle those answers but I am sure that your attorney would encourage you to see another doctor maybe even have one in mind for you. I will tell you this . comp is getting more and more difficult . good luck

Re: Frustration!

I have one-the toughest one I could find and he is very familar with RSD. I was able to talk to the refering Dr. and they switched me to a different MD. and yes, as soon as W/C saw RSD they have been denying everything! So wrong of them, it is bad enough that you get told you have this nasty disease called RSD, then they put more stress on you by denying your meds and apts, somewhere the system is broken. I know there are dishonest people out there, but when did everyone become guilty before proven innocent. I loved my job, and I love working-believe me I would rather be scheduling vacations then Dr. apts, no one would chose this life...no one...just wish for one day the W/C people could feel our pain and take the meds that make you so confused you can't drive and all you want to do is sleep. Then be treated like a druggie when you ask for pain meds....yeah, no one would choose this. Sorry for the rant...they made be mad today...just happy that I am responding well to medication and feeling hopeful.

Re: Frustration!

hey coffee.. i dont know how long youve been at this with comp... but that is how they roll. I was back at work 7 mnths after my initial accident and they followed me taking pictures and all. i can only imagine what they r doing now that I am going on ssdi. This is an insurance agency and they make money treating us like the criminal and denying us. and unfortunately it got worse with these new laws that started dec 2010. any one seeking treatment on shoulders kneck back and knees they are denied unless medically nessecsary. but good news for me when i recieved a comp authurization form and in it it read a list of reasonable treatment for RSD and what comp must be prepared to do in the future. and this guide line read as if they spoke with an RSD specialist so.... they know and are hopefully more plyable for it. I hope you find this enlightening. good luck to you.
