It is a very emotional experience and best to have a loved one there all the time. The Ketamine can make you very upset, or very angry. It does put your body through an experience that differs person to person. I am now doing twice a week for a month, then it will go to once a week gor a month, and then to once a month time pending.
But at my last visit with Dr. Getson I went from 240mgs of Methadone a day, to 100 mgs, and to sum it up 16 pills twicw a day to 8, I say Thank God!!!! My pain levels have gone from plus 10 to on days none to a some what constant 7. But, I was told the burning and numbness will never depart. But to feel Human for the first time in three years I'll take it!! I have full body, inside and out.
You do know the inpatient is not FDA approved and you are on for a fight, but with the right Doctor anything is possible. There are times when one infusion is great and the next isn't, but think of chemo for cancer patients, the same.
This process is not a cure, but a chance for remission, a chance to hold your loved ones without crying due to pain, to wake up everyday and feel some self worth. Also, my outlook is this if there is a chance for me to try something that will not only help myself but make it easier for those whom are newly diagnosed I will do it, it is kinda of like playing Russian Roulette, It's either hit or miss. For me the Ketamine is great, but all individuals are different, try it what is the worst thing that could happen? Because the worse is here! Fight the burning Dragon, take back what is yours! Spread the word, help others!
Good Luck, and God's speed
