Chiropratic and RSD...It's working for me!!!
I have RSD in my right wrist, hand ,and arm. It occured from an injury at work in Dec. 2003. I was offically dx in March of '04. I have had 13 nerve blocks, a TENS unit for 10 months, and countless therapy, My PM Dr. and Ortho told me about a month ago that there was nothing more they could do for me and they were going to stop the nerve blocks and therapy since I wasn't responding to them and having minimal releif. A friend of mine who is a Chiroprator recently moved from AZ. to KS where I'm at, I went to him for a standard adjustment,(Since he moved to AZ two years ago I hadn't been seeing a chiroprator) He asked about my arm and I told him the story, he said he thought he could probably help. He used an activator on my arm nad suggested a new laser treatment that his office offers. That was a month ago, the first few treatment made my arm flare up for a few hours but then offered GREAT relief. Now my pain levels stay consistanly low(maybe a three on averg.) and when I go for treatment it goes away all together.I really recommend this for anyone who has tried everything they can think of, I'm on work comp so the Dr. are not as willing to spend time and money on treatments that don't have a vast amount of progress. I have to pay for the chiroparator myself but it is well worth it for the amount of relief I get. About three or four months ago I have to stop posting on this board because it was too painfull to type, I only was working maybe 2-3 hours a day two-three days a week because I couldn't handle the pain and now this is the closest I have felt to "normal" since my injury. I'm also getting my IMP(?) rating next month for work comp. any suggestions??????
