RSD Lesions?

Hello All,

I went and saw my PCP and I have RSD Lesions. They are a big blisters with an orange/pink type fluid. She said that it is a mixture of Puss and Blood. Ewwww! that sounds soooooooooooooooo gross. They hurt really really bad. Well, I would assume they would, because there is BLOOD.

Here is the thing, when I was about 12-15 I got these Leisons and they went away on their own and then they reappeared after the birth of my first child, then went away and now they are back. My PCP say that I may have had RSD since I was young.

Have any of you heard of or has/had RSD Leisons? What is your experience with them?

I also, was Dx with Livedo reticularis, today.
Oh! Great, Yippy~

Kim

Re: RSD Leisons?

I have gotten a few lesions from time to time. Thankfully I don't get them that often though. On me, they appear as blood blisters and then one day there will be an open sore that takes a month or more to heal. Not much to do but keep it clean and make sure it doesn't get bigger or worse in some way.
What is that you were dx with today? Never heard of it.

Karen

Re: RSD Leisons?

If you ever had a case of chicken pox, it is very possible that what you are actually experiencing is shingles and nothing really related to the RSD itself.I really have not heard of RSD lesions before in any of the research that i have done.do some research on shingles and see if those symptoms and presentation are similar. This does seem much more likely.shingles have much the same presentation(except the blisters) and extreme pain that RSD has.You unfortunetly may have shingles along with your RSD.i do feel for you.see what comes up with your research and then talk to your doc about it.let me know what you find out.Marcia

Re: RSD Leisons?

I don't see how you haven't come across RSD lesions before. I've seen some really gross pictures of these lesions when they've taken over and grown. It's really gross and you can't have a delicate stomach to look at them. I knew one guy who had these huge holes in his legs from the lesions. I saw the pictures and it was so nasty.

RSD lesions are real. I get them and so do many other people I've talked to. Go to Hooshmands website and he has pictures of lesions there. Also look up RSDfoundation and there are pictures there too.

Just wanted you to know that they do exist and it's because of the RSD. I put in RSD lesions in a search engine and got 9,170 hits for it and all the pictures you really hate to see.

Re: RSD Leisons?

Karen,

Thank you for your response. Yes, my lesions will be there for up to 8 weeks. Do yours hurt? Where do you get yours? I have them on my non-Rsd foot, but my PCP said, that it is no longer the case, and in fact I do have RSD in the Good Leg. Ah Phooy! So, now I have Total Body RSD. The only good thing is that, this leg is pain free, other than the Lesions.

The other skin thing I was DX with (Livedo) is a lattice pattern on your skin (on legs and arms), ranging from red, purple, blue. There is nothing you can do about it. Thank god it does not hurt :O)

Marcia,

Yes, please go search. If you don't like gross things, don't do a search. My Lesions are not as bad as the cases you will see. I only have 4 of them on the bottom of one foot. My PCP has already ruled out shingles and herpes.

Have a good evening,
Kim
