Question re Bruising HELP - Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Message Board

Hi everyone,
I was experiencing lots of bruising on both legs. It seemed to happen more on the leg that was bothering me most. Bruising disappeared almost immediately after nerve blocks, but returned with the pain, sensitivity, etc., which was usually within a week after the blocks. I thought it was due to the RSD and it was confirmed to me by the fact that the bruising went away after treatment. I had a block on right leg two weeks ago and the bruising is just now returning.
Now, my PM Doc wants me to see a Hematologist. Wondering if anyone has experience with bruising and if they think it's necessary to see yet another Dr.

Hi Vicki,

I get bruising on my legs for no reason all the time. I figured it was the RSD, but don't know for sure. Let us know what you find out.

i know i just vented on the other board. i'm sorry that you are having trouble also. i'm scared about the nerve blocks. i never had any bruising but i have pain like i am bruised. the only thing that makes it feel better for me is the lioderm patches

. my rsd is in both my hands, wrists and left forearm but it feels like the right forearm is getting it too. it's weird but my wrist bones and left elbow feel bruised but they are not. anyway, i hope you feel better. i hope everyone feels better and have a GREAT 4th.

Hi Vicki,

Just wanted to let you know that I have ALWAYS gotten bruising with my RSD. That was one of my first symptoms. I hope this helps you. I don't know about you, but I think it gets overwhelming seeing too many doctors for the same thing.

So I know that I am new here, but I have brusing also. It's just on the leg with RSD, and I know I'm not that clumsy!
