Can I have RSD without constant pain?

Hi,

I guess anything's possible with RSD, but I've never heard it being present without pain. Symptoms of RSD vary widely from person to person, but pain is usually the one common complaint with RSD. What symptoms are you having that make you think you might have RSD?

I have pain, but it comes and goes. Usually, I will have a dull achy pain for a few hours, then it goes away. Later, I might have several sharp pains and burning pain when I stand up. Other symptoms include swelling, my skin changes color (either to red, blue/purple, or pale), certain areas of my foot and lower leg are tender to the touch, and I am having trouble regaining the range of motion in my ankle. However, the tenderness and pain aren't debilitating, but enough to really take notice.

. i haven't had 1 of those days yet. sometimes, i get lucky and it isn't as bad as normal and if i have a few too many drinks(when i'm not passed out on meds.) i've had rsd since nov05- not even a year. i was officially diagnosed last friday. only took 8 months. anyway, i hope you feel better soon. patti

. i'm here in connecticut but maine is my favorite vacation spot

. just wish the water wasn't soooooo cold

my sis and hubby and kids go there every summer except this 1. was actually there in march college searching for my son. too bad my skiing days r probably over. thats actually my long term goal, to ski again. i will be 41 at the end of this month but my rsd affects my hands, wrists, andleft elbow. oh welll, let me stop my bellyaching...lol, see ya, patti
