Still Feeling Pain After SCS

Does anyone else have the deep dull pain after your SCS ? The stinging feeling is pretty much gone but this deep pain is till there.
Today at 3:00pm I'm getting re-programmed I hope this will take that pain away.

I over read someone saying that the stim doesn't give any relief in your feet or lower back , is this true ? I went outside with the weedwacker the other day and my back was killing me, even now I have these new pain's in my rib's and lower back , when the lower back starts hurting I get this awful pain under my scrotum..I wasn't sure if there is a nerve that run's through there until I cranked the ole stim up on high , my left testy went numb ?

I'm just sick of this whole back thing and would appreciate any input about this.

Re: Still Feeling Pain After SCS

Hello if it is done right. Yes it does go down to your feet. I have the scs going down to both of my feet. How fresh is your scs in your body. You are not surposed to be twisting and turning and doing a lot of bending. I have a lot of back pain. I had one removed and a new one just put in with paddle type leads. It seems to to be working better at this time. I had to get a reprogram. And I told them I will play with these setting and will get a new reprogram in a few months. So hang in there. I can't say it gets any easier. But we are all fighting for the same thing less or no pain and to go back to us being us. Must keep hope alive.......Thats all we got

Shawley,
You are lucky I do not know your docs name because I would call and rat you out. You should not be doing that...The fatter paddles are the bomb want to walk again is right but you have to take it easy. The nerves are the last thing in the body to heal and if you have a good day and twist and hurt something you could move a lead. That is the thing with these you HAVE to follow the docs orders no matter what and I am not trying to be a ***** but the trial worked sooooo good for you. They can get it right with you but the rib thing does not sound right. I have the scrotum thing without the scrotum but for me that is not a problem- sorry too much information. I think you might have moved the leads and you should have the doc get a c-scan to make sure nothing has shifted that is the first thing they did with me when I was having funky leg pain. Do you have a wife? I want to talk to her...Put her on...lol. You need to chill and take care of yourself if you want this thing to give you the maximum benefit like it did with the trial. I remember the day you got it, you were so excited- well think about that the next time you want to pull out the wacker!!! Nikki

Re: Still Feeling Pain After SCS

Nikki ,

(Rat) Just kidding , No really the weedwacker thing isn't bad , no twisting or bending to it. It is very light and I'm careful not to do anything to harm my implant. You sound like my wife .

Anyway , I went to get reprogrammed yesterday , see I had the trial done close to home , the Med Rep who was there for my trial and not the implant tried to program it , he is very upset they didn't put the leads where it should be to hit my feet. He could only get it down to my ankle and I could hardly feel it there . I go to see my spine surgeon on the 26th , he is going to have the Rep that was there for my implant be there to try to fix it.

The Rep said yesterday that the pain behind my rib and scrotum isn't from my stim , He told me to tell my surgeon about this..It does bother me pretty bad. I don't think anything shifted , I didn't do anything to make it move.
I was excited when I got the trial , and I'm not giving up on this yet. The rep said they may have to move the wires lower for me to get relief in my feet. I don't want to go through that again.

Thank's for posting ,and no way will I get my wife on here .

Re: Still Feeling Pain After SCS

Hello , my implant was done on June 18th ,2007 I'm giving it more time , but the rep said I may have to have my paddle lead lowered a tad so it hit's my feet . I only have one paddle lead.
