My dr put me on Cardizem, even though for the life of me I can't remember why she said some Dr's have found out it helps people with CRPS. I don't have high blood pressure unless I"m in a lot of pain or heart issues.. Anyone heard of this?

I think it's because it's a calcium channel blocker. I read a paper or two not too long ago that talked about the role of different things in the body and this was one of them. I'd have to try and find it again to be more precise on the why thing.

I've heard of others being given high blood pressure meds. I think, if I remember correctly, it's supposed to help with the circulation issue we have. Not sure if it actually works or not. Never had anyone say it helped them. Won't know until you try. Maybe it will help. Keep us updated on how it goes.

Watch yourself on the blood pressure meds, my GP wanted to put me on them the first visit. I said no, give me a week or so, it's not been a good week and I've had two allergic reactions to medication. He waited and we have decided to call mine unregulated as it's been as low as 114/74 and as high as 200/120. It's usually a little above their 120/80 that they like to see and depending on anxiety/panic and such runs a bit high too. Just be careful and if you feel funny get yourself to the ER fast. You might not need it all the time and better to be watchful than have your medicine cause issues.
