| Re: Kinda of embarrassing
what i am wondering right now is do you have ANY actual spinal issues that you are aware of? i have had this, along with bladder control issues from my spinal cord injury, not my RSD. the thing is what you mentioned about that 'numbness"? that would indicate some possible involvement of actual spinal in some way. just where IS your RSD and how did it get triggered? was there any spinal involvement? if you have not ever had or recently had any MRIs done on your spine, i REALLY do think at least your lumbar(the best would be from top to bottom since any involvement along that spinal, depending upon what and where it is could be involved and cause this)MRIed as soon as possible REALLY should be done for you. i seriously would try to get in to see your doc today if possible. when it comes to certain spinal involvment, one of the more ominous signs just IS what exactly occured with your loss of bowel control hon. did you happen to notice any loss of bladder too or was it strictly bowel?
i am in no way trying to scare you or freak you out hon, but this just really does need evaluating sooner vs later right now. numbness like that, in most cases could only stem from spinal nerve involvment. i would just call your docs office and tell them what occured and you NEED to be seen. and to just get that MRI done. hopefully this is not some major issue, but it DOES need to be further evaluated and that spine looked at. i do wish you luck with this. but please see your doc as soon as possible. please let me know how you are doing. Marcia
