Pediatric RSD Dr. in San Diego, CA?
Hello everyone, I'm looking for a good pediatric RSD doctor in the San Diego area. My 13 yr. old daughter has had RSD for 2 1/2 yrs now and it's been difficult to find a good pediatric dr. to treat her. There are good drs. who treat adults with RSD but I haven't found anyone who treats children regularly. It seems that all of the pediatric drs. have had limited experience treating RSD.

Thanks for any help for this!

Debbie - I would consider taking your daughter to Dr. Sam Maywood- he treats adults but I believe he would work well with your daughter. He has kids about the same age as yours and is just a plain nice man on top of being an excellent doctor. His experience with CRPS/RSD is exceptional and he has a multi-disciplinary practice that has a very successful approach to treating pain. He also has a functional rehabilitation program that might be a good alternative for your daughter.

I wish you both the best of luck and I'm so sorry that you are having to watch your little girl hurt. This condition is hard enough when it is "just you" but seeing someone you care about with it has to be terrible.
