Partially torn ACL & RSD
I have a partially torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in my left knee. This knee feels very unstable and gives out frequently. This causes me to fall. I cannot walk long distances or do stairs without crutches, I cannot kneel or squat, I cannot teach children anymore because I cannot get down at their height, I cannot water ski, hike, rock climb... Orthopedic surgeons refuse to reconstruct my ACL "just" because it is "only" partially torn even though I have so many problems with my left knee.
I also have RSD in my left knee/leg. I would like to know why every giving out episode (due to my partial ACL tear) triggers the severe pain in my left knee caused by RSD. Thank you!
