my arm hurts to put it down. I get shooting pains from my elbow down to my fingers. I tried the pillow under my arm that hurts. I've tried surrounding my arm with pillows with it up in the air; but then I move. I don't think there is an answer; but thought I'd give it a shot. This is such a weird and creepy disease

I have had to learn how to sleep with my arm up also. I lay on my back, arm up on large pillow with a small dish towel rolled up, velcro is under the last flap to make it stay. I position it under my hand/wrist area to keep the side up that does not need to touch the pillow. If the one side with RSD can't touch the pillow/anything at night otherwise I wake up hurting more then normal.

It is a nightmare to learn ways to make you feel/sleep better. I wish there was a magic wand for us all.

I also use a pillow under my arm. I have alot of problems with restless legs no matter what I can not get them comfortable between the pain and the weird feeling.

Cattys for the restless leg thing, have you tried Vitamin E. I also have that, I was told many yrs back to do Vit E for the leg cramps I got when pregnant, worked great. Then when my legs started being restless I tried it again, is working not perfectly but it has helped alot.

It's so hard for me to sleep, especially now with it in both my legs!! Right now I sleep on my right side with my left leg on a pillow. I still can't sleep on my left side for long because of the portacath surgury. My scar constantly hurts and it wakes me up at night. It feels like something is attacking it! I can't have anying touching it either.
