Wink Im back...!!!!

Goodafternoon everyone,

I just wanted to say hi and that i just got back from the hosp. I spent the night because i needed good pain controll and they could give it to me while i was in the hosp! So the surg went ok, I now have 2 leads in my stim adn so far so good. The blue tint is out of my toes and its a little warmer. Not sure if its due to the stim or the warm weather that has finnaly hit NY!! lol So only time will tell.

My doc isnt sure how this is gonna wrk, hes just really worried more about the severe osteopenia I have in my foot and that i might break my foot and then i wil have to have an open procedure to fix that and spread the RSD? So he has me ni my AFO that is like a walking cast but its molded to my foot and that is also molded into a inverted postion so its protecting me from breaking it! But its preventing it from moving which is a bad thing (like RamRod's cast ) but i asked him about that and he saidhe is more worried about it breaking and that i need a surg to make it flat anyways so i need to keep it stable nad not break it!! I dont have to do PT, first because of the surgery and 2 my insurance and 3 its not helping me at all. So I am stuck here in the house..lol. untill i am able to drive myself places again. I am dying for areal shower. I can only do sponges baths and wash my hair in the sink. I cant agan put my hands over my head or touch my toes or lift anytihn over 5 punds. I love having everyone pamper me and get me everything..llol not.. i am very independent and pig headedat times..lol so they are yelling at me cause ishouldnt be doing that..lol. O well..

Gotta go, back and belly are killing me and have to go lay down and take pain meds. Talk to you all later.

Hi Angel,
So happy all went well and you are home again. LET THEM WAIT ON YOU WOMAN! I know how you feel tho I have the same problem; but try to let them wait on you. You sure do deserve to be waited on. I'll keep the prayers going. Take good care of yourself. I'm new to all of this so I don't understand everything you have said; but I hope this works for you! hugs and more hugs!!! Kathy

I am so glad your Back I missed you!

I am pigheaded also, have a horrible time at being waited on. You should let them for a few days, let yourself heal up before you push yourself to much.

I understand about the cast on your foot, my Dr is always worried about me breaking my arm. I don't have full extension or turning, walking down/up stairs with something in my good arm I have fallen. Luckly I was able to fall in a way that it either spained/bruised my ankle/knee, if I hit my arm it would have broke then surgery and RSD could spread. Its better at this point to keep the ankle/foot the way it is.

Glad its getting warmer for you in NY. Calif is great today, all week in the 80's. How long has been since you haven't drove. I can only drive in town, freeway is to hard with the one hand. Plus with all the pain meds, I don't want to drive far.

Take care bryn, I hope you have a good night.

Lynn

Hi Bryn! You made it! Glad to hear that things went well. I know we women can be pigheaded because no one can do it our way which is the right way, right?? LOL!
Take it easy. Rest. Let others take care of you for a change. I know this will work for you. Don't over do. Enjoy the sun while you can. I was ready to build an ark! How about you? Take care of yourself.
