my wife just had her first blockage done on tuesday
june 10 03. has anyone ever had any side effects and
what were they. she feels like she has a flu.please
reply with any info thanks

I'd call the dr, it could just be that her tummy can't hanbdle the sedation they used to help her relax but it's been 2 days. Have her eat a few crackers, 7-up for tonight. If she does not feel better in the morning, call the doc.

I have gotten sick from sedation before. Cannot have fytenol, which is what they usually use. It cause me to vomit, I feel horrible for a day or two. That is possibly what is happening, but can't say positivly. Now they use another drug to knock me out, cannot think of it right now but it does not make me ill.

Try the crackers and 7-up tonight.

I told them I was very sensitive to sedation and now they give me zofran or something for nausea before the procedure. It's put in the IV. I have a problem with my leg going numb for a couple of days afterwards but lately its been going away real fast. I too get real sick from sedation.

Hi,

I always felt really lousy the following day and after that I felt fine. With me it seemed my blood pressure had dropped, which is not uncommon with blocks and certainly is not uncommon with RSD.

I would call the doc. I have had 5 blocks and been sedated for all but not knocked out. I never felt ill. I hope she feels better. As my friends have said, alot of people have bad reactions to sedation.
