my wife (Colleen) is taking it now for her RSD. it is a powerful sedative, and she can't handle the prescribed dosage (400mg/day). it was prescribed to try to thwart these terrible lesions she gets on her hands, when her pain level rises to a 20 on a 10 scale. they always require surgery and sometimes skin grafts. the drug is highly controlled, and requires you, your doctor and your pharmacist, all to register with the STEPS program. the package has pictures of deformed babies, and each capsule has a pregnant woman with the international cross sign through it. it's pretty nasty stuff, used mainly for leprosy, although one woman has been reported to have been completely cured from RSD symptoms, by using it.
