Sodium Amyital
Hi guys.
I was just woundering if anyone else out there has had the infusions I have. What they do is you get an IV and then the doctor injects Sodium Amyital into the IV. You usually start at whatever level takes away the pain. I started at I think 350 mg, and you are not even suppossed to go up that high. But now I'm at 500mg. Then when the pain is gone you take this cream that the doctor perscribed and rubit on your legs with gloves on. Then the doctor manipulates your legs. He bascially justs exercises them, twists them around. It's the movement that helps to overstimulate the nerve. Just like the blocks.
The sodium Amyital is weird stuff!!! When he injects it, everything starts to go fuzzy and everything starts to buzz. I have to shut my eyes. When I first started the procedure, which was recomemded by the RSD specialist in BC, I would sometimes fall asleep during the proceedure and I would sleep all day long afterwards, as well as all night long.
The cream is composed of: Doxazosin 0.2% , Diclofenac 10% , Bupivicaine 0.5% in Diffusimax.
It's a very interesting cream. But it works to take the pain away. The first time I used it, it took the pain away for a little while. See it has a numbing agent in it.
Anyway I'm rambling on too much and I have to go. Please take my words into careful consideration.
ByeBye
