Book I just Got - Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Message Board

I got that book today, its great. Living with RSDS bye Linda Lang and Peter Moscovitz, guide to coping with RSDS. Talks about the emoyional issues, pain control, diagnosing, treatments, all the diff medications. Things that we don't think about, gives you tips on things to do for yourself. It's really a great book.

Dayton you must have had a diff book, this one is not ugly it's very informative in a good way.

Hi Stickgirl!

I've been reading that book too and I also think it is good. I like to read the stories that are in there about what other people are going through.

Hi Sharon, I like reading the stories also. Makes you feel as if your not alone this this thing. When this first came on to me, I just thought that there was a horrible infection due to my surgery. Then was told what it was, and they will try to put it in remission.

I think everyone that is newly diagnosed should be handed this book, maybe the panic would not be as bad.

Hi Stickgirl! Thanks for letting us know about the book. Now I will definitely order it. I didn't want to read anything depressing but from what you say it is anything but depressing! Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. Take care.

Soxy it is not depressing at all. My gosh it has helped me understand some of the things I went thru at the beginning. I use to clutch my arm to my chest, not wanting to move it or even have anyone touch. It talks about that, really has made me realize so much.

It talks about everything we go thru, I really enjoy this book. Really its written for us, tells of all the treatments, procedures even has a few docs to contact on the east coast.

It is not depressing or sad. I get depressed easily, this has not did that to me and can't see it depressing anyone.
