Hey Soxy

Yeah i have RSD in my right foot and i dont use anything at all to get around. .they wont let me. They want me to use it as much as possible to keep some bone mass in my foot. Cause the more you use it, then the bone wont die. ANd because of my severe inversion i have severe osteoporosis already in my foot and leg. So i like you, walk with a bad limp or hobble. I have to swing my whole leg around when i walk cause i cant push off or roll off with my foot so i walk with a locked knee and swing my hip to move it. I was in PT for 6 mos and then stopped 3 weeks ago first becasue of the surgery and second my insurance was bawking at how many times i need to go and third is that PT wasnt really helping.. all i did was swim in the walk tank and they tried to get it to unfreeze be wernt successful at it, so he said to stop and wait.

I can get around ok, I just walk really slow or i just dont go any place. If i go anywhere its only bc i really need something, or that i need to get out of the house and when i go into a store i only last about 10 mins at the most wlaking around in there, then i am paying for it the rest of the day and end up on the couch crying.. and the stim turned up where i swear i could mix a glass of chocolate milk cause it was up so high. My family picks on me (in a nice way) that you know the chocolate milk comercials on tv. Well the one that this guy is in a tent in the middle of winter and his frinds open the tent to have him shake up there choco, milk.... they tell me thats me.. they even did it to me once and i about died laughing.. lol gotta laugh i guess right.. sorry to talk so much..

Not having the best day. My foot is killing me and i thinks its because of the weather. Its pouring out and its not going to stop at all this weekend and there is a flood warning so.. i am gonna miserable. but hope everyone else is doing good.. talk to you ths weekend

Hi Bryn! At least you've kept your sense of humor. RSD can't take that from us!! Pt doesn't help me either. I have been going 3 x's a week this past month because ofinsurance reasons. Too long and boring to explain. Basically, we work on my back which is out of whack because of the way I walk now, but since the doc thinks that's where my RSD started I think it has aggravated my condition because I feel worse!! I canceled my PT app't yesterday. I agree the weather doesn't help. More rain. We must live in the same part of the country. I've had to increase my pain meds the last 2 days but I'm still under what the doc prescribed. Just when I think I'm doing o'k I'm not. Oh well, I do count my blessings though. There are so many of my friends here who are really suffering. You are really being a trooper with the stim.. I hope in the end it all works out for you. I know it has been such a relief for Cattys. I may be headed that way so I'm always interested in how others do with it. Take care of yourself. Hope you have gotten some rest after your hectic day at the doctor's office. Sorry about the parking ticket. Are you elegible for a handicapped parking sticker?

Good lord.. this didnt post what i wrote back?? just left the quote thingy.. uggg.. lol

PT was torture for me, but I was then given the option to do the walk in tank which is like a mini personal pool thats heated so i lvoed that, but i figured that if thats all they are doing for me and i am paying them i can do this at home in my jacuzzi with the same effect and it being free.!! And my doc told me to stop it anyhow and do it at home also.

I live in Upstate NY, not far from CT where you are. Yeah I do have a handicap tag which i put on my rear view mirror when i use it, but the reason i got the ticket was that in the city where my doc is (over an hour away from my house) i guess they have even and odd day parking, and i parked on the wrong side along with the other 10 cars too, All i was trying to do was save 5$ from parking in the parking garage and i ended up paying 10$ Cant win for trying i gues..lol

Gotta go. talk to you all later hope every one is having a good weekend!
