Back from docs again.. - Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Message Board

Good afternoon everyone,

Man am i sweating.. its 92 out and i cant stand it. I am going to go nuts by the end of summer or either live at my local grocery store in the freezer section..lol

I saw my doc today and he doesn t think my back is infected although he did agree that it is swollen, he is leaving for vaca on mon and will be gone for 2 weeks so i hope its not or else i will be in trouble. They cant get my stim to cover my foot now, when i came out of surg it was reaching my toes and when i saw the doc last thurs my toes and fore foot were back to blue again, so the tech tried for 45 mins to try and get it back into my toes nad he couldnt., so he and my doc said to wait 2 more weeks to see if its just due to the healing and the electrodes forming the scar tissue and see if that works and if not,,, i tihnk my next thing wil be the pain pump. SOoo.. i am still in limbo for another 2 weeks with a stim that only works on my knees and above soo.. oh well.. i have to go and get cool so talk to you all later.. hope every one is doing good!!

Oh Bryn, that really s&^*$! You can't seem to catch a break!! Your doc must have someone to back him up while he is gone, I hope. I'm glad it is not infected. Hopefully in 2 weeks it will touch your toes. What a hassle you have gone through. The weather doesn't help, I know. Are you in a lot of pain? Is that a stupid question???? Try to stay cool and take it easy. I hope you will start to feel better soon.

YES the heat is killing me. Between it killing my foot and making it worse. The heat is killing me period. Its making me nausous and hot flashes no appetite.. this is just the starting of summer too.. I think i might be on my way to target to get an ac machine for my bed room, (only if my parents say ican dont want to drive up the elec bill, but it shoouldnt.. i hate being with my parents again... lol)

Gotta try and get cool.. ttyl

Hi Bryn!

I'm glad they don't think you have an infection. I know what you mean about the heat. It's killing me too. In only a couple of days, we went from 60's to 90's. That's a big jump to get used to all at once. I hope the stim starts to work soon.

I am so sorry Bryn, you have gone thru so much. I sure hope when he comes back that he does the pump quick for you.

It is 100 here today, your catching up to us quick. Hope you have a good a/c. I have ceiling fans also, the a/c blasting out cold and those fans swirling it around makes this place very nice all summer. Tomarrow will be 102 or higer they say. Will get cool next week possibly, low 90's.
