Bryn, I called my sis and she said if she did indeed blow a vein (and she was really upset when I told her the blood was running down my arm onto the sheet), it could be nerve damage which can take a long time to heal. she said something about the blood having to be absorbed back into the body and the nerve endings trying to heal and close the vein. She said it's really nasty stuff when doing IV's. You have to be hydrated and if the veins roll, then you've got problems. I never drink water and she fusses about that a lot cause it makes it harder to find the vein. I think I'll just call him to make sure. geez, better safe than sorry with this stuff huh>. My leg is not hurting as much anymore but I can tell it just gets achy ya know. the doc was telling me i better loose weight but it's so hard cause I'm a stress eater big time. he's switching me to that baclofen. Is it any good? I'm finishing up my neurontin in the next couple of days. I was also wondering what combinations you use for pain. The doc said not to mix elavil with alot of pain meds so what do you use? thanks bunches. I really cleaned house last night so I'm paying for it today with the fibro.
