Hey there,

Tomarrow I have a phone interview with a person from Social Security. I live in NY and you can fill out most of the paper wrk on the comp and i did that last nite (took me 2 hours) and then on this phone interview i guess they are just going to review this??
I was wondering if any of you all have done this?? and what to expect? HOw long will it take to get a yah or nah from them??

Hope everyone is have a good day. Here in NY it is soooo muggy and humid out its killing me !! and my foot! Plus i think that the RSD has spread to my left shoulder.. it burns and deep muscle/bone pain worse at nite?? hopefully its nothing. talk to you all later.. need to try and get cooled off ..

Hi Bryn! Sorry I can't help you out with your questions about the SSI process. I hope it goes smoothly for you though and you get a positive answer soon! I agree with you about the weather. My foot has been awful. The humidity here in Ct is the same as in NY. It poured this am which meant I had to close windows. UGH! Thank God we have AC in the bedroom and the den. We have a pool but it's too hot for me to walk outside to get to it!!!!!!!! Take care. Good luck on Wednesday. How is your pain level? Last time I was "on" I think you were having some difficulty getting ahold of your doc and you were in a lot of pain. Try to keep cool.

Tomarrow is my phone interview with SSI and Wend is my appt with my doc. SO hopefully i will get some answers on wend from my doc....I hope! Pain levels are up there about 7/10.. depends on what i do and dont do... you know how that goes.

Good luck with your interview. Just know your employment and medical history, be cooperative and just answer questions. Don't give out info. I found it was easier for me to get an attorney. It was a gift to myself. I did it for a liver problem while I wasn't working. You can get a free consult. Why don't you try calling one before your interview to see what they suggest.

Bryn don't worry about your ssi interview, it is easy to do. I went in to the office instead of the phone but that was cause I can't sign with my right hand I print with my left to sign my name. It went very easy, 4 weeks later I got a thing to go see there dr and then it was okayed 3 weeks after that. Mine was social security dissability I don't qualify for ssi cause I get dissability payments from w/c. But it is the same process, if you get turned down then you get a attorney then they take it from there. I have heard it takes 6-9 mts normally to get approved, mine was quicker due to my circumstances so yours might also. Mine took less then 3 mts.
