Hi Soxy,
I had this done in Feb. when i saw my new doc and he admitted me right after i saw him to the hosp for this.
I was admitted for 6 days and had a epidural for 5 of those days. They put 2 different meds in mine because the first one didnt help. They were Baclofen and Clonidine. This was a god sent. i loved having it in, and would kill to have it now!
The only thing i dindt like was that like with any epidural it numbs you from the waist down. And that meant i could not get up to use the bathroom so i had to use the bed pan and i didnt like that at all.. i was begging the nurses to give me a foley cath. Ohwell i was pain free totally for 5 days!!
I also had Phy therapy 2 times a day while i had the epidural. BUt once the epidural came out, about an hour later, all the pain came rushing back. So thats when he suggested haveing the stim put in... but looks like i am going to get my pain pump bc the meds from the epidural workd better!
Hope I helped.. if any more questions ask away!!
